Cedar Row Middle Housing

Location: Pacific Northwest
Type: Middle Housing Development | Contemporary Urban Living | Nature-Integrated Design
Architect: Harmony Space Architecture

Cedar Row Townhomes is a modern middle housing development designed to bring warmth, livability, and architectural clarity to neighborhood-scale density. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest landscape, the project integrates contemporary design with natural materials to create a calm and welcoming residential streetscape.

The architecture features vertical timber cladding paired with dark metal panels and deep roof overhangs, forming a rhythmic sequence of homes along the street. Clean lines and carefully articulated volumes create a strong yet refined presence, while large windows introduce daylight and connect interior spaces with the surrounding greenery.

Landscaped planting beds and pedestrian-friendly walkways soften the edges of the architecture, creating a gentle transition between public street and private home. The design prioritizes a human-scaled environment where residents experience both privacy and a sense of neighborhood connection.

Inside, the homes are organized with efficient open layouts that support contemporary lifestyles. Generous windows, natural materials, and carefully framed views bring light and warmth into the interiors while reinforcing the connection between architecture and landscape.

Cedar Row Townhomes reflects Harmony Space Architecture’s approach to middle housing—creating thoughtfully designed homes that balance density, sustainability, and neighborhood character. The project demonstrates how modern townhomes can enhance urban living while remaining closely tied to the natural qualities of the Pacific Northwest.
