Urban Timber Row
Location: Pacific Northwest
Type: Middle Housing Development | Sustainable Urban Living | Nature-Integrated Design
Architect: Harmony Space Architecture

Urban Timber Row is a contemporary townhouse community that redefines city living through a commitment to sustainable design and harmonious integration with the natural environment. This project by Harmony Space Architecture draws inspiration from the textures and warmth of the Pacific Northwest landscape, using vertical timber cladding and natural finishes to create a warm, timeless aesthetic.

The staggered gabled rooflines give the streetscape a rhythmic, sculptural quality, while large windows and glass balconies frame daylight and greenery from multiple angles. The interplay of light and shadow across the façade highlights the material’s natural grain, creating a dynamic expression that changes with the seasons.

Designed for both privacy and community, the residences open onto a shared landscaped promenade, encouraging neighborly interaction while maintaining a sense of retreat. The outdoor spaces are curated with native plantings, enhancing biodiversity and reducing maintenance needs.
Inside, the interiors continue the natural material palette, with open floor plans, generous ceiling heights, and seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. Energy-efficient construction methods and passive solar strategies ensure year-round comfort while reducing the carbon footprint.

Urban Timber Row reflects Harmony Space Architecture’s belief in crafting architecture that not only meets modern living needs but also enriches its surroundings—balancing density, sustainability, and beauty in the heart of the city.
